Declaration on accessibility

Explanation in plain language

This website belongs to COPA Haar GmbH & Co.
We want everyone to be able to use this website.
Even people with disabilities.
Unfortunately, there are still a few places on the website that are difficult to access.
We are working on improving this.
If you have any problems, please send us an e-mail: info@copaconcept.de

Classification according to BFSG

The Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) requires certain companies and service providers to provide digital accessibility from June 28, 2025. According to our own assessment, the copaconcept.de website does not currently fall under the direct obligation of the BFSG.

Nevertheless, this declaration was drawn up voluntarily on the basis of WCAG 2.2, Level AA – because accessibility is not a bureaucratic obligation for us, but a question of attitude.

Current status of accessibility

The copaconcept.de website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. There are known barriers, which are described in the following section. A complete manual check was not carried out; this declaration is based on an automated analysis (Screaming Frog / axe-Engine, April 2026).

Known barriers

  • Insufficient color contrast (text on background)
On several subpages (including /kontakt/, /copa-academy/), text elements – including mandatory field markers and tab labels – fall below the required contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text.
WCAG 2.2 – Success criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (minimum) – Conformance level AA

Disproportionate burden

No content or functions with reference to disproportionate burden are currently excluded from accessibility. All known barriers are removed as part of regular website maintenance.

Date of the declaration

This declaration was created on: April 22, 2026
Last updated: April 22, 2026
The website has been online since: April 2026.

Non-relevant or technical findings

  • Color contrast (WCAG 2.0 AAA) – 172 Findings
These findings refer to contrast ratios that are only required for WCAG level AAA (Enhanced Contrast, success criterion 1.4.6). As the target conformance level is AA, these findings are not mandatorily relevant for the accessibility statement.
  • Landmarks with non-unique roles / accessible names – 36 Findings (Best Practice)
The navigation element .us_menu_4 is recognized as occurring multiple times on all 36 crawled pages. This is a best practice recommendation of the axe engine, not a fixed WCAG-A/AA criterion. The finding relates to the theme framework (Avada/US) and is template-related.
  • Heading order – 66 Findings (best practice)
The heading structure deviates from the ideal linear hierarchy on numerous pages (e.g. h2 → h4 or h4 → h6). This is classified as best practice, not a mandatory WCAG 2.2 AA criterion. The cause often lies in the use of page builders (WPBakery/Avada). Recommendation: fix as part of a redesign or regular maintenance.
  • Missing < h1 > heading– 2 Findings (Best Practice)
A <h1> element is missing on the pages /copa-academy/ and /en/copa-academy/. Not a WCAG 2.2 AA mandatory criterion, but relevant for screen reader usability and SEO. Recommendation: update in the CMS.
